Whoever you want me to be.
I'm Jay, an aspiring Sydney graphic designer and photographer studying visual communication. I've been told that I am a minimalist as I have a very clean, contemporary/modern, simple/slick style of design. I'm really picky and an extreme perfectionist- things need to be pixel perfect, I can't stand anything being messy and out of place because I like to be really organised and tidy. I really love the UK, the accent (some people say i have a slight lisp), the people (marry me please Keira!) the culture and nature, particularly all the historical medieval stuff- castles, knights in shinning armour and damsels in distress, which is why I'm really looking forward to moving to London to live and to work there after I've finished my uni degree.
I really love good live music and I mainly listen to post-hardcore and vocal trance however, I'm not too fussy and will listen to almost anything. I especially love the sound of Alexisonfire, Armin Van Buuren, City and Colour, Craig David, Enter Shikari and Paramore just to name a few. My favourite colour is red and white 'together', but red and pink also work too and my favourite number is five because it is J on the phone pad, hahaha. One thing I can not stand are spiders, I really hate them- I'm scared of them. I also hate being tickled because I am really ticklish. I jump across the room if you touch me unexpectedly, but not if it's in the right place ;) LOL
Although not diagnosed, I think I have a mild case of OCD and will just about obsess over anything that catches my mind for hours on end- especially pretty girls like Hayley Williams and Keira Knightley and on some occasions, Ryan Atwood- I don't swing that way but he's fucking hot! As you could probably tell, Keira is my favourite actress and I loved her in the Pirates Trilogy. Will Smith is my favourite actor and I still remember watching Bad Boys back on VHS repetitively with my two older brothers when I was a little kid!
I love to drink and to party, hell, there doesn't even need to be a party for me to crack open a bottle. I'll drink anywhere and any time, it's never too early! My favourite drink would probably be scotch and coke and Christmas Eve 2007 was an absolute killer where my friend estimated I had about 30+ drinks that night.
My favourite thing to do is to go to the beach at night. I could just sit there for hours on end hearing the water crashing onto the sand, staring out into the empty horizon. There's just something about it, it's just so peaceful and relaxing, it's my way of unwinding and escaping everything. It's all quite reminiscent of my favourite T.V. show, 'The O.C.' and I wish there were life guard towers and piers like that in Sydney! Balmoral Beach has a pier, but it's not really anything compared to the one in the show. My best friend, Kat and I would watch The O.C. on dvd and try to recite the lines correctly before it starts on the show and we try to beat each other to it, we're so lame!
I still love her, even if she's lame :P and all my other best-friends too, they all have a special place in my heart and I would do absolutely anything for them, no question about it. Although I'm not perfect, I try to be for them. I really dislike making decisions because I always get the feeling that I'm forcing someone to do something and I don't like to do that at all. Additionally, I don't like it when people start telling me a story or begin a sentence and stop half way and don't finish- if you don't want me to know, don't tell me at all. I guess you could say I'm really sensitive. I try not to judge because I know everyone is different, everyone has their own thing and I can respect that.
